Information for Students from Other Institutions Attending MTC as a Transient Student

1. Transient students are responsible for determining if the courses taken at Midlands Technical College will transfer to their current college or university. Meet with your academic advisor at your institution to obtain an approved transient form or visiting student form.**

2. Apply for admission to Midlands Technical College. If you have attended MTC within the last three semesters, you do not need to reapply.

3. Submit your approved transient/visiting student form to the MTC Admissions Office. This form must be submitted before enrolling in classes.

   or send electronic versions to: askmtc@midlandstech.edu (Adobe Acrobat format required). (Electronic submissions in formats other than Adobe Acrobat will not be accepted)

4. Register for classes.

5. Pay Tuition. Check with your home institution for financial aid assistance information concerning attending another college or university. Click here to view MTC's tuition and fees.

6. Purchase books and/or materials for your course.

7. Complete the course(s).

8. Fill out a Transcript Request Form to have your MTC transcripts sent to your home institution. (Adobe Acrobat required to view this form online)

** Please note that courses offered by the science department during the Summer semester meet for the full 10 week semester. Our lab courses are structured so that the lab and lecture portion must be taken together as one class.
