SPANISH TEST

The Foreign Language placement exam for Spanish consists of objective questions as well as a listening component. It takes approximately one hour to complete this examination. The exam is scored at the conclusion of the test session. Scores for the test range from 0 to 70.

If the Spanish Score Is	The Student Should Enroll In
0-24	SPA 101
25-39	SPA 102
40-52	SPA 122
53-70	SEE NOTE**

Students who place in a course higher than 101 can get credit for the course just below the one they place into by making a grade of C or better in the course they take.

** The student is qualified to study Spanish at a higher level than is now offered at MTC. The student should contact the senior college to which you plan to transfer to enroll in the proper Spanish course. This high score on the placement test may have satisfied foreign language requirements at the senior institution.
