Student Support Services (SSS) is looking for experienced, successful students to serve as Academic Mentors for the participants in our program. Mentors work one-on-one with SSS students to help them better understand course material and improve their general academic skills.

Could you be an Academic Mentor with SSS? Consider the following questions:

• Are you interested in helping other students achieve their goals?
• Do you have 5 – 10 hours per week to do the job?
• Have you completed your first semester at Midlands Technical College?
• Do you have at least a 3.0 grade point average?
• Could you use some extra money?

If you answered “yes” to these questions, we encourage you to apply as an Academic Mentor. These positions have even been approved by the Office of Student Financial Services to qualify as Federal Work Study placements.
