Science Department Lecture Exam Procedure

 

·      Follow all directions of the instructor whether oral or written

·      Late arrivals may not be admitted

·      Leaving the room during the exam results in the exam being graded at that point

·      Do not talk

·      Do not look at other students or their exam papers

·      Cover your answers

·      Leave book bags, coats, and any other materials at the front of the classroom

·      Cell phones and other electronic devices are to be turned off and left with book bags and other materials

 

Failure to follow exam procedure as instructed will result in a loss of 10 points for each violation.   Any violation that involves cheating will result in a grade of “0” for the quiz or exam and the incident will be reported to the Director of Student Life.  Grades of “0” due to cheating may not be made up or replaced.

 

Cheating is obtaining or passing information about the exam or having such information on your person while taking the exam.  Examples include but are not limited to:

 

·      Talking about exam questions or answers

·      Passing information between students

·      Possession of notes, cheat sheets or writing on body or clothing

·      Answering or looking at a cell phone or other electronic devices

·      Attempting to see the answer key

·      Removing copies of the exam from the classroom

 

Exam procedures may be amended at any time as necessity dictates.
