Graduation
Students planning to graduate should obtain a Graduation Clearance Form from the Student Records Office (Airport Campus - ASC 223, Beltline Campus - WM 103) or print out the online Adobe version below. Turn the form in to your department office. Your department chair will complete Part III and forward the form to the Records office for processing. Degrees, diplomas and certificates are ordered each term. The College has one formal graduation ceremony held the end of the Spring Semester.
Graduation Application Due Dates:
- Fall - October
- Spring - February
- Summer* - February or June
Check the online college calendar for exact dates for the months listed above.
*Students expecting to complete their program requirements during the summer may choose to participate in the preceding May's ceremony. If so, their graduation applications must be in the Records Office by the February date. If not, their graduation applications must be in the Records Office by the June date.
Graduation Honors:
- Associate Degree with High Honors - This honor is awarded to associate degree recipients who have a cummulative grade point average of 3.8 - 4.0.
- Associate Degree with Honors - This honor is awarded to associate degree recipients who have earned a cummulative grade point average of 3.5 - 3.79.
- Certificate/Diploma with Honors - This honor is awarded only to certificate and diploma recipients who have earned a cummulative grade point average of 3.5 or above in at least two semesters of work at the college.
