Upon successful completion of the Physical Therapist Assistant Program, students will demonstrate entry level competency in:
1. Written and oral communication.
2. Awareness and ability to implement appropriate safety techniques to
protect patients their families, other health care professionals and
themselves.
3. Treatment development and implementation after the completion of the
patient’s evaluation by a Physical Therapist.
4. Assessment of patient response to treatment using observational,
measurement and testing techniques within the scope of PTA practice.
5. Participation in the profession of Physical Therapist Assistant both
clinically and in the professional association.
