Upon successful completion of the Community Pharmacy Technician Program, students will be able to:

1. Demonstrate appropriate knowledge and understanding of the practice of

     pharmacy in community and health care institutions, to include standards

      and ethics governing the practice.

2.  Possess a working knowledge of general chemical and physical

     properties of drugs handled in the manufacturing and packaging

     operations in the pharmacy department.

3.  Possess a working knowledge of the procedures and operations relating

      to aseptic compounding and parenteral admixture.

4.  Possess entry level pharmacy technician knowledge of the structural,

     functional and inter-relational aspects of the pharmacy in community

     settings so as to be able to provide patient care.
