Logging into WebCT System Using Online WebCT Account

Purpose:  Students need to log into the WebCT System using an Online WebCT account once they have registered through MTC for a class that is categorized as online, hybrid, or web enhanced and have Created an Account and added the class to their Online WebCT account. Logging into the WebCT System is the third and final step needed to allow student access to the online portion of those classes.

STEP ONE

• Open internet browser
• Go to http://courses6.midlandstech.edu
• Click ‘Log In’ as shown by the circled button below

STEP TWO

• Key in User name and Password as shown by circled button below. Click ‘OK’. This information is the User name and Password created in Step One of this process. The following guidelines were recommended:

• User name:  enter your User name as your first name followed by your middle initial and your last name all in lower case with no spaces.

• Password: use your birthdate in a mmddyyyy format, such as 04081990 to represent April 8, 1990.

With a successful login, you should see a course list. This snapshot below represents an example of a Course List, with the course AHS 119 I01 Health Careers shown by the circled button below.

STEP THREE

• To enter a course, click on course name from Course List as shown by the circled button above. The illustration above shows AHS 119 I01.

• The course homepage will open. The illustration below is an example homepage for the course as shown by the circled button below. At this point, you are in your course.

You are now ready to begin your course work
