WHAT IS CLINICAL TRAINING?
The clinical education component of the program is a
competency based process that provides the student with the knowledge
and skills necessary to become an entry level Nuclear Medicine Technologist. The
competency based process involves the observing, practicing, and applying
technical knowledge and skills in a clinical hospital setting. Proficiency and
skills in the performance of nuclear medicine procedures are assessed throughout
the program. The program teaches students proper nuclear medicine operations
under the direct supervision of registered/certified nuclear medicine
technologists.
