POSITION: Fiscal Tech II

DEPARTMENT: Finance & Accounting

LOCATION: Airport Campus

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Prepare monthly payroll for full and part-time employees.
Preparation to include (Web Time Entry, initiating salary and deductions changes, overload pay online
transactions, and online liabilities payments) on classified and unclassified personnel, tutors and federal
college work study (FWS). Perform data entry functions related to the establishment of new employee
records to include but not limited to worker’s compensation, unemployment, state retirement, State taxes,
FICA and Medicare.

Receives and audits all Academic and Dual contractual employment agreements to ensure correct
information received and keyed. Reconcile FICA, Medicare, and retirement accounts with accuracy.
Reconciliation of all payroll deductions and benefit accounts on a monthly basis to include making
journal entries as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Candidate must have an associate degree with accounting related
courses and two (2) years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; or high school diploma and four (4)
years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Datatel knowledge and experience, ability to create excel
worksheets and ability to interpret and apply financial procedures and regulations.

HIRING RANGE: $24,881-$35,457 Band 04, SC State Classification System. Excellent benefits
