POSITION: MATH INSTRUCTOR
DEPARTMENT: DEVELOPMENTAL STUDIES
LOCATION: BELTLINE/AIRPORT CAMPUS
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Teaches developmental Math courses; duties include advising students, curriculum development and assessments; reviewing and updating courses and designing new courses as needed; preparing syllabi and participating in the development and revision of other instructional materials; serving on college committees and performing public service for the department while maintaining an ongoing program of professional development; may be required to teach classes on multiple campuses and off-campus sites, including secondary schools.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree with 18 or more graduate hours in Mathematics. Demonstrated excellence in teaching preferably in a community or two-year college dealing with students with diverse academic backgrounds is desirable. Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills are important.
