POSITION: MEDICAL-SURGICAL NURSING INSTRUCTOR
DEPARTMENT: NURSING
LOCATION: AIRPORT CAMPUS
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Provides leadership in the development and evaluation of various components of the curriculum. Teaches, supervises, and evaluates students in the classroom and clinical area; assists with academic advising by holding regular conferences with student advisees; evaluates students’ progress; attempts to develop the potentialities of each student; keeps accurate records and submits pertinent information on students; participates in faculty meetings and attends college functions; remains active in nursing organizations and attends workshops and other educational offerings in order to continue to upgrade teaching abilities and clinical skills; follows institutional policies, procedures and line authority; assists in special projects and maintains a good working relationship between the hospital personnel in clinical nursing areas and the college.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in Nursing and at least two (2) years recent clinical experience. Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina. Teaching experience preferred.
