POSITION: Grants Coordinator II
DEPARTMENT: Advancement/Resource Development LOCATION: Airport Campus
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Midlands Technical College has an opening in the Advancement Division for a Grant Coordinator who will assist in all aspects of a comprehensive grant program including grant research, identification of appropriate sources, proposal development, and grant writing in pursuit of public and funding sources that support the college’s strategic priorities. The incumbent will have demonstrated success in obtaining external funding thorough grant writing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years experience in business, personnel, grant-in-aid, or public administration work experience is required:
PREFERRED QUALFICATIONS: Three years experience in successful grant proposal and application development for educational, government, business, or related entities is strongly desired. Successful candidates will have working knowledge of grant sources, relevant date sources, and submission software; strong data interpretation and technical writing skills; familiarity with standard accounting principle; superior proofing skills; demonstrated oral and written communication skills; and be proficient with Microsoft® Office software.
HIRING RANGE: $32,274-$43,144, Band 05, SC State Classification System. Excellent benefits program that includes: employer provided health, dental, and life insurance; paid holidays; sick and annual leave; and state retirement.
