Shelton is a 13-year-old seventh grader. His favorite subject is World Geography, he enjoys sports such as baseball, basketball, football, and all other kinds of sports that are fun. He plays the Tenor Saxophone in band class, he also plays the drums. He has two brothers, Brent, who is 14. His other brother’s name is Jimmie and is a mechanic at Prestige Paint and Body. His mother’s name is Melba and she is a 43 year-old Pediatric Nurse. The goal for Shelton is for him to be in the Navy Seals. The Gear Up program is actually pretty fun. I really like my team counselors, they are very fun to be with and they are very smart. I think that the Gear Up program is going to be a very good experience for me in the future. The things that I don’t enjoy are when we have to do all of the math that we do. Anyway, besides that’s not the point, we have to do it for our own good. Another thing about the Gear Up program is the long hours we have to put into it. But as people say, time flies when you’re having fun. That is what I like about the Gear Up program, and what I don’t like about the Gear Up program.
