| 1. Contact us | ||
| a)  | Contact Lisa Cheeks for information on enrollment options (803-738-7684, 8-12:30 or 1:30-4:30 M-F; WM 317, Beltline Campus). | |
| b) | Talk with an advisor about enrollment options. | |
| 2. Take the MTC Placement Tests | ||
| a) | These tests cover reading, grammar/usage, writing, and math skills. Some tests are given on a computer. There is no charge to take the tests the first time; students who ask to be retested will be charged a fee. Please allow 3 – 3 1/2 hours to take the tests. | |
| b) | Go to the Testing Center (Beltline or Airport) to take the tests any time on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday 9 a.m.—9 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m.—4 p.m.; or Saturday, 9—2 p.m. | |
| 3. Meet For Academic Advisement | ||
| a) | Call 738-7684 and ask for an appointment with Laurie Berry, Nancy Kreml, or Jan Jake. | |
| b) | Come early to get the courses you want. | |
| c) | Your advisor will give you the proper forms, approve you to take the courses you need, and help you with your course schedule if necessary. | |
| 4. Register For Courses | ||
| a) | Take your course schedule form to the Records Office window (Wade Martin building, room 103) from 8 a.m.—6:00 p.m., Monday—Friday. | |
| 5. Pay For Your Courses | ||
| a) | Go to the Cashier’s Office (Wade Martin building, room 217) to pay for your courses, plus the one-time $25 enrollment fee and the $50 student activities fee. | |
| b) | You may pay at the same time you register, or you can register first and pay later. | |
| c) | If your advisor tells you to enroll through Continuing Education, she will help you do that. | |
| 6. Come To Class | ||
| a) | Classes start on Tuesday, February 3, 2004 and run through Tuesday, May 11 | |
| b) | You will receive instructions about buying books on the first day of class. | |
