Continuing Education Program Assistance
Guidance and assistance in---secondary school reentry, alternative education programs for secondary school dropouts that lead to the receipt of a regular secondary school diploma; and entry into a general educational development (GED) program in the Midlands area. Counseling Career and personal counseling.

Financial Aid Assistance
Information on the full range of Federal student financial aid programs and benefits including Federal Pell Grant awards and loan forgiveness. Also, assistance in locating public and private scholarships, assistance in completing financial aid applications, including the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Financial and Economic Literacy
Connections to education or counseling services designed to improve the financial literacy and economic literacy of students or the students’ parents, including financial planning for postsecondary education.

Postsecondary Education Admissions Assistance
Assistance in preparing for college entrance examinations and assistance in completing college admissions applications. Although the EOC staff is employed by Midlands Technical College, they do not recruit students for the College. EOC participants can receive assistance in applying to any vocational training program, college, and/or university. Workshop Educational workshops provided to prepare participants for a successful post-secondary educational experience. EOC staff is also available to speak to local community agencies, non-profits, organizations, and churches.
