The Advisement Centers' advisors provide developmental advising for students to ensure that they are placed in entry level courses commensurate with their abilities and to allow students optimum opportunity to successfully complete their academic goals. Students are encouraged to become familiar with their programs' requirements and to make responsible academic choices.

The Scheduling Centers support student responsibility for self-scheduling and allow advisors more time to serve students' needs by freeing academic advisors from scheduling responsibilities. Under the guidance of Scheduling Center staff and with the use of individual program plans, students learn to determine prerequisite courses and to develop their class schedules to meet their own time management requirements.
