ENGINEERING DESIGN TECHNOLOGY

Associate in Engineering Technology (EDT)

DESCRIPTION:
A program designed to develop technicians for the areas of engineering design such as design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of various equipment and products. Engineering Design Technology deals with all aspects of manufacturing and emphasizes computer aided design of graphics.

BEGINNING SEMESTERS:
Students may enter the program any semester; however, the Fall Semester provides optimum availability of courses for full-time day students.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of 77 semester hours is required for graduation.

PROGRAM NOTES:

  1. Electives must be taken outside the discipline area. CPT 101 and CPT 170 are not recommended electives for students whose programs require EGR 110.
  2. EGR 110 must be taken before the third semester.
  3. In addition to textbooks and other consumable supplies, students will also be required to purchase a small drawing kit and a scientific calculator (approximate total cost $150).
