CARPENTRY - QUALIFIED FRAMER

DESCRIPTION:
The Carpentry-Qualified Framer certificate is a skilled-worker training program. Training occurs in the classroom/shop and on the job site. The training enables the student to learn a specialized carpentry subcraft, specially framing, through classroom instruction and hands-on framing in new home construction.

CAMPUS: AIRPORT

ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Successful completion of a program interview.
  2. Must be 18 years old.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS: A total of 24 credit hours are required.  

SCORES FOR CURRICULUM ENTRY
Students scoring lower than the required test score will be required to successfully complete preparatory Reading and Math courses before entering the BCT courses.

PROGRAM NOTES:

  1. Applicants, unless exempt under the standard guidelines, will be required to take the COMPASS or ASSET test for advisement even though they may have been admitted on SAT/ACT scores.
  2. All BCT students must call the department secretary at 803-822-3361 for an advisement appointment.
