When advising AA students please remember,
- MAT 111 should NOT be considered:
- the next math course after MAT 110,
- the "easiest" math course after MAT 110,
- a course that is always transferable.
- Please consider the following options:
- MAT 120 (Probability and Statistics) has MAT 102 as a prerequisite. This is good choice for Social and Behavioral Science and Business majors.
- MAT 122 (Finite College Mathematics) has MAT 102 as a prerequisite. This is good choice for Business majors.
- MAT 130 (Elementary Calculus) does not require MAT 111, only MAT 110 as a prerequisite. This is good choice for almost everyone not majoring in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a Laboratory Science.
