What can we do if we believe the institution is discriminating against my student?

• Most every postsecondary institution has a designated person – often called the ADA or Student Disability Services Coordinator – who coordinates compliance with Section 504 and Title II of the ADA.
• Every institution must also have a formal grievance process. Note - the process is not the same as Due Process in the high school.
• The institution’s grievance procedures must include steps to address any concerns fully, fairly and provide for prompt and fair resolution of complaints. Some have both formal and informal processes.
• Have your student find out from the institution what processes are offered.
