If it is needed who pays for a new evaluation?

• Neither the high school nor postsecondary institution is required to conduct or pay for an evaluation to document your student’s disability or need for accommodation. You may have to pay, find funding or set up a payment plan to pay a professional for an evaluation.
• If your student is eligible for services through Vocational Rehabilitation she may inquire about an evaluation. The postsecondary institution cannot require Vocational Rehabilitation to provide your student an evaluation.
