CREATE A WEBCT ACCOUNT AND ADD YOUR MATH COURSE

(Internet and Hybrid Courses)

STEP ONE - CREATE AN ACCOUNT

Note:  You only need to create an account one time. 

• Go to http://courses6.midlandstech.edu
• At the screen below, click the Create Account button.

• In the box below, key in the requested information.  NOTE:  Be sure to write down the ID and Password.

Complete this form by confirming your password and entering a question to get a new password should you forget the one you created.  This will be emailed to the email address you put on the form. 

NOTE: As stated above, it is best to write down your ID/password that you created since waiting for a new password could delay you completing an assignment and/or test.

• After filling out the form, you will see the confirmation message below:

• Click the Entry Page button.

STEP TWO - ADD A COURSE

• At the entry page below, click the COURSE LIST button.

• Choose the Internet-Hybrid link for the CURRENT TERM.

• The list of subject categories for Internet and Hybrid courses for the term you selected will appear.

• Scroll down the subject categories until you reach the Math category.

• Click the green arrow on the left of the Math category.   You will see a list of Internet and Hybrid math courses and sections (sometimes there are two sections for the same course - be sure to locate the section that is listed on your class schedule).

• Click this icon , located at the far right of the course to self-register. 

• You will see a message box similar to the one below showing the course and section you selected.

• If the correct course is showing, complete the form by keying in the WebCT Username and Password that you created in STEP ONE above and click the Register button.
• If the course you selected is incorrect, click the Cancel button.   You'll be taken back to the list of courses so that you can make another selection.

• NOTE:  If you get a message to allow your computer to remember your password—click NO.  This will allow others to access your course.  Remember to write your Username and Password down and put in a safe place—you will need to know your Username and Password when going to the testing center for tests and/or assignments.

• Once you click the Register button, you will see a confirmation message similar to the one below, showing the math course and section you selected for registration.

• If you are adding more courses:
  • Click the Return to Course List button

• If you are finished adding courses:
  • Click the Go to My WebCT button  This is the location where you can now access your online courses.
