| ATTENDANCE
POLICY:
The
department policy will apply. The
number of absences allowed is equal to twice
the number of times the course meets per week. Students
are allowed four absences. After
four absences, the student will be withdrawn from the course.
It is the student’s responsibility to keep up with the number of class
periods missed. |
| COURSE
REQUIREMENTS: In order to complete the course successfully, students should attend
each class session. Students
are responsible for lessons covered from the first day of class; students
must complete and submit to the instructor all assigned lessons on or
before the announced due date. Late
work will be accepted at the discretion of the instructor.
Course assignments and due dates are subject to change based on the needs
of the class. |
| CLASSWORK/HOMEWORK:
Students are expected to complete the lessons in
class using the Glencoe Keyboarding software.
Students who are absent from class may complete the lessons in the open
lab in order to keep up with the class. Upon
completion of lessons 5 and 10, students will print a portfolio report,
which is included in the software. Beginning
with lesson 11, each lesson will be printed and turned in. |
| COMPUTER TIME:
In addition to completing outside of class any
missed lessons due to absences, students are also encouraged to practice
keyboarding outside of class. Daily
practice on drills learned is recommended and will reinforce the
development of keyboarding skills and knowledge of the keyboard.
