Note:  Some courses may require a particular browser.  Check with your instructor for course requirements.


The first chart below displays some of the software requirements that are necessary for taking an Online class through distance learning. The second column shows the specific name/version of the software and the third column shows what software/version we have detected that you have. If we have detected that you do not have the appropriate software or version, a "Fail" message will appear in the next column. If you "Fail" any individual item, please click on the link that says "More Information" for a detailed explanation concerning how to get, or upgrade this item on your PC:

Netscape:
  1. Click on the Edit menu, and choose "Preferences"
  2. Click on "Advanced"
  3. Check the "Enable JavaScript" check box
  4. Click "OK"
  5. Reload this page
Internet Explorer:
  1. Click on the Tools menu, and choose "Internet Options"
  2. Click on the Security tab, choose "Internet"
  3. Click on the "Custom Level" Button
  4. Enable: "Active Scripting"
  5. Reload this page

The next chart displays some of the multimedia types that are commonly used in distance learning. In order to view each of the multimedia types, you must have an appropriate "plug-in". If you have the correct item, a small movie will appear when you press the 'Test' link. If any of the movies do not appear, please follow the "More Information" links to learn about the multimedia element and how to download the correct plug-in. All plug-ins are free to download if you follow our instructions.

Note:  Some courses do not require all of the plug-ins below.  Check with your instructor for specific requirements.
