Help Resources

Online classes are fun and rewarding, but occasionally a problem arises. Should you require assistance when taking an online course, numerous help options are available.

  • If you have previously accessed your Online Class and are now having problems, then check out Troubleshooting When You are Unable to Access your Online Class below.

  • If you are unable to find the answer to your problem, then you can contact the WebCT Help Desk. Contact information for the WebCT Help Desk is also provided below.

  • And for your reference, following is a list of various college-wide Help Resources.

What these pages won't do is help you with your assignments. Feel free to contact your Instructor with questions about those.

Troubleshooting When You Are Unable to Access Your Online Class

If you are unable to access your Distance Learning WebCT course as usual, here are some tips to help determine the problem.

1. Determine if you are able to access other web pages.

2A) If not, then call your Internet service provider to make sure they are not having system problems.

2B) If you can reach other web pages, then try typing the URL in by hand (that is, if you normally use a bookmark or favorite to access your class). For MOST MTC WebCT courses, the URL you need to type in is: http://ecourses.midlandstech.edu

3) If you can get to other web pages, but can´t get either one of the preceding URL´s to work for you, then call the Office of Teaching & Learning to report the problem.

Our number is (803) 822-3067. Our e-mail address is: webct@midlandstech.com
