Who am I?
I'm a person who loves teaching and is committed to student success.

Teaching Philosophy:
I believe in the learner-centered approach to learning. In  fact, I consider myself a "facilitator" of knowledge rather than a teacher. I'm committed to making the student's educational experience exciting, challenging and relevant to today's workplace. 

Experience:
I have over 24 years of teaching experience, 6 years professional experience, a Masters in Accountancy, and I hold the following professional credentials: CPA, ABA and ATA. I am active in many professional organizations and assist students in selecting career paths and job placement. I am currently serving on ACBSP's Two Year Degree Board of Commissioners as well as the Board of Directors.

In addition, over the years, I have been privileged to receive numerous teaching excellence awards including the:

8. MTC Foundation's Teaching Excellence Award
9. Midlands Technical College- Faculty of the Year (twice) 
10. Innovative Excellence in Teaching, Learning and Technology Award
11. NISOD-Teaching Excellence Award (twice)

In addition I have received two distinguished service awards:
1. ACBSP National Star of the Year Award
2. ACBSP - Region 3 Excellence Service Award
