Description: Business Law-BUS 121 
This course is a study of legal
procedures, law and society, classifications and systems of law, the
tribunals administering justice and their actions, contracts, sales,
transfer of titles, rights and duties of the parties, conditions and
warranties.

Outcomes and Competencies:
As part of the
Business department’s commitment to teaching effectiveness and ongoing
student learning outcomes assessments activities the following outcomes and
competencies have been developed for BUS 121:
Intended Course Outcome #1: Students will demonstrate their overall knowledge and understanding of business law and the nature, characteristics and status of contracts.
Course Competency: Students will demonstrate their overall knowledge and understanding of business law and the nature, characteristics and status of contracts through the administering of a departmental final exam.
Measurement Instrument and Success Criteria: A standardized final exam developed by the management/marketing faculty that is based on the course learning objectives will be administered each semester. The goal is 100 % of the students passing the course will earn a score of 70% or better on identified exam questions relating to business law and the nature, characteristics and status of contracts.
