Management 101 
Course Description:
This
is an introductory course in management. Management is presented as a discipline
and a process. Major topic areas will include the scope of management,
decision-making, planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. This course has
been designed to give students a general overview of management principles with
emphasis on application in the work environment.
Course Objectives:
- Describe the basic management functions and the
management process
- Explain the value of studying management history
- Define organizational culture and how culture
constrains managers
- Explain the four views of ethics and the impact of
social responsibility on economic performance
- Outline the steps in the decision-making process
- Define planning and distinguish among the different
