Goal Two: Classroom Learning Communities
Classroom Learning Communities (CLCs) will be developed by faculty in entry-level courses that many new students place into. Participants in CLCs will become a community of learners in which students and faculty work together to address four key areas:
- Connecting students with college resources and services
- Developing information and technology literacy
- Making learning visible by breaking down activities and processes
- Developing appropriate classroom and professional skills and behaviors
In Spring 2010, MTC will pilot CLC sections in three courses.
- English 100
- Math 100
- Reading 100
