Goal One: Connecting and engaging students:
The college has developed an online activity for new students called the Pre-Advisement Module. This activity prepares students for their first on-campus advisement session by introducing them to:
- College services and resources
- College communications: Campus Cruiser (MTC email system)
- MTC Online resources (scheduling, grades, financial aid status, etc.)
- College community expectations and responsibilities (MTC’s Honor Code, appropriate behavior, parking, smoking, etc.)
- Academic program plans, goal setting and advising
A pilot version of the Pre-Advisement Module is on the college’s homepage: http://www.midlandstech.edu/
All students are invited to try out the module and send feedback to mtcstudent@midlandstech.edu
